LiquiGen mesh export frame rate question

In LiquiGen, I set a mesh export of about 275 frames. Preview is smooth in the LiquiGen viewport, and, from what I read online, the hardcoded frame rate is 60fps. However, when I import the resulted .abc file into Blender, I end up with only 34 frames. What am I missing here? It’s like I set a frame stride to some high value, but it’s at 1. Is it possible to get all these frames baked in my Alembic file?

Thanks

Hey Martel, sorry for the delay. It’s not exactly hardcoded at 60 FPS, but is hardcoded to whatever your Step rate is set to. The other part of this is due to a problem with how DCCs are importing alembic files, you’ll want to change the FPS in your scene to whatever your Step rate is before importing your alembic file. I don’t know exactly what the issue is, but it seems that applications will remap your alembic file based on the FPS values of your current project as well as file. so if you have a 500 frame alembic at 60 FPS, in a 30 FPS Blender or UE scene it will import as 250 frames. Let me know if this helps!

It actually did help! Thank you. For anyone finding this later - No idea why is it like that but you have to set the frame rate in blender (or other software) first and then alembic magically adjusts itself to fit in more frames.
