I want to emit flames from the vertex colors of the FBX.

Problem
I imported a model with a mask on its arm and tried to make flames come out of the arm, but for some reason flames came out of the entire body.

What I want to solve
I want flames to come out of the arm only, not the entire body, so I want to know what I did wrong.

What I did

  1. Downloaded a creature model from mixamo as FBX.
  2. Applied a mask to the arm in Cinema 4D and exported it as FBX.
  3. Imported it into EmberGen and checked the mask.

I have attached a video.

I am a beginner who has been using EmberGen for a few weeks, and this is my first time posting on the forum.
Please let me know if there is any missing information needed to resolve this issue.
I appreciate your cooperation.

Hey thanks for this. Since your vertex colors are coming from a specific “mask” section you need to make sure that mask is being used for the shape input. Geometry will always use the full imported mesh. Let me know if this helps!

Hi, the problem was solved by reconnecting the pin to the mask!
It seems that an important step was overlooked.

Thnk you for your support.
