I have a simple sphere in C4D 2026. I created a Vertex Color tag and painted the letter “F” on the sphere in bright red. I import this .abc (making sure C4D includes vertex color) into Embergen and connect the Mask1 output to the Emitter Particles Shape input. Fire is created on the entire sphere geo. Mask1 > Mode > Meshes. Ticking the MeshShape box has no effect.. Fire still billowing from entire sphere geo. Ticking Vertex - Color Red and sliding the amout from 0 to 1 has no effect… Fire still emitting from entire sphere. What am I doing wrong?
I made a new scene with Embergen and used the default fire/smoke and it works fine. Not sure why one of the presets does not.
