Render FBX Matte - How to?


Sorry if this has been asked before, but I can’t find this information anywhere.
I’m learning Embergen (which is awesome) and I have an FBX of geometry interacting with a fire/smoke sim.

I can render out the beauty pass, but I want the FBX geometry to knockout or matte the parts where they are in front of the smoke/fire. All I can find in the documentation is the mention of holdout.

Can I link the import node mask to the render node to accomplish this?

Appreciate any insights.


In the render export node is a dropdown that lets you choose how to render shapes in your passes:
