I’m struggling to import Embergen’s VDBs into Unreal Engine. I have followed the tutorial provided by Janga on YouTube. However, the smoke doesn’t separate itself from the fire, it all sort of acts as fire. If I get rid of the temperature channel when importing the VDB, it does all act as smoke then and the fire isn’t shown.
Is there anyone else experiencing this? Or can anyone guide me through importing it correctly?
Hi Kyle, thanks for reaching out about this. There might be more helpful resources in our discord in the Unreal Engine channel here. You can look through the pinned comments or search by keywords that pertain to your issue.
With that said, I don’t recall anyone reaching out having this issue in the past. My inclination is that this is something that needs to be addressed in the VDB shader inside of UE, but it’s hard for me to be confident without understanding the issue a bit more. Let me know if this helps!
