This is probably a very basic question, but I’ve Googled and tried many things with no luck. Simple as the title says: How do I make my smoke last much longer. I’ve turned all dissipation to 0 and the smoke still only lasts about 5 seconds. (Still well within the container)
I’m trying to create a large fog like area with very slow moving smoke/fog. I started with the manhole preset.
Thanks a lot ! Now I know the reason why the smoke of my work has some blocky sections.
But I do need a higher concentration of smoke, how can I make a higher concentration of smoke at the same time, without that black blocky sections?
You’re welcome, though I’ll need a bit more information about your case to address it. In EmberGen if things are blocky then you may need to increase the size of the bounding box and / or use upscaling to increase the number of voxels. If you’re seeing the blockiness in your other DCC program then you may need to remap the density range to be a value range that the program is expecting.
