Heya folks, long time, first time and all that…
This isn’t really a feature request as it’s been been said that it’ll come eventually. I’m just curious about the timeline, so: when is a fully featured shader (or shader graph) for Unity going to come out?
Ideally one that works out of the box with all the bells and whistles we can export from EmberGen…
We have a material internally that we are using for testing in unity and it is a master shader, but I don’t have an exact release date on that at this time. I’d hope sometime this year though.
Is there a chance you could release the WIP material early?

Is there a chance animated volume texture (slices) export makes it into the initial 0.7.5 release? It’s the only way to get real volumes into UE4 atm and I always have to go to Houdini for that step. Would love to be able to do it right in Embergen! You could even take it a step further and support colour in addition to density, something the Houdini node doesn’t support. Cheers!
Low chances of it making it into initial release. We do have plans for full volumetric support for UE4 and UE5 though.
I see. Looking forward to the day of true volumetric effects in UE!
