When using Liquigen and exporting Foam and Spray Alembic caches and importing them into Maya’s aiStandIn, the caches are interrupted. Is there any setting required?
Hi there, we’re not aware of any limitations or necessary settings for Maya. Can you describe your setup with screenshots an liquigen file so that we can trouble shoot if we get the time? Thanks!
Sorry, I just have a question about exporting Whitewater’s Alembic cache from Liquigen.
It’s about the state of the scene.
As for the scene itself, it was about dropping a ball of water into a small plate and letting the water scatter.
There are some materials that can be used as Whitewater caches, but there are some that can only be taken halfway, which is a problem.
Currently, it is caching 480f at 48Hz.
When the cache can only be taken halfway, it stops at about 200f.
On the view, up to 480f is displayed without any problems.
Liquid’s cache is being taken without any problems.
Foam cache is now exported.
The changed part is In addition to the particles that were erased on the floor, particles that flew behind are now erased as well.
・Whitewater > Resources > Max.number of particles > 40million particles (doubled)
・Simulation > Resources > Max.number of particles > 20million particles (doubled)
I still don’t know which change made it possible to export the cache.
Also, regarding Spray’s cache, it has not yet been exported due to that change.
The cache has been exported. Increased the Max.number of particles for Whitewater and Simulation.
I don’t know why it is displayed in the view but not written out in the cache, but it has been resolved once.
I’ll add more if there are any problems.
thank you very much.
Hey thank you for sharing your process and troubleshooting these issues for us! Can you send these project files to support@jangafx.com? I would like to see what we can do about the particle export behavior cutting off after frame 200
