Cannot get white on black Alpha Channel to render out

I’ve been trying for hours and no matter what settings I try I can not get a separate black and white alpha channel to export. I can get it to export black on clear. I’m not sure what i’m doing wrong.

Hi there, You don’t necessarily need a black and white alpha channel for CG, it all works the same even if it’s 1 color. Though if there is a need for this, then you’ll want to plug your alpha channel input into the R, G, B and A sections of the Alpha node (so not the Alpha pin). This will add the data to all 3 channels evenly, making it white as well as preserving the clear alpha details.
