EmberGen 1.1.0

  • 62 new and updated presets: from new technical showcases and incredible explosions, to updated shading and motion on existing presets. We wanted to ensure we show off the best of what 1.1.0 has to offer and give you more presets to learn from

  • Massive improvements to collisions

  • Added the ability to control transforms with bones or meshes from an Import node

  • [Breaking] Made Additional Pressure randomness behave consistently when adjusting the Voxel Count, which will now preserve the overall shape when adding or removing voxels on each axis when this parameter is used

  • Added the “Temperature Range” and “Smoke Range” minmax parameters to the force nodes and the Vorticity tab in the Simulation node
    • These augment the already existing Masking part by defining the range of smoke and temperature values in which to apply the force/vorticity injection.
  • Improved word-boundary handling for textboxes
  • Added support for setting parameter randomization to out-of-bounds via the range slider
  • Dropped pin menus are now always sorted alphabetically
  • Added advection limiters accessible via a checkbox in the Simulation tab whenever the Velocity or Voxel Advection Modes are set to Cubic
  • Removed the pre-advection vorticity which was causing issues with unnecessary dissipation
  • Simplified hourglass filter controls by moving all control into the hourglass strength slider
  • Failing to save a file now correctly shows error message
  • Fixed export previews when using absolute frames
  • Fixed a bug causing an error when exporting to folders that don’t exist
  • Moved Scattering radius, Dissipation, and Diffusion out of advanced parameters so that they are available by default
  • Fixed an undo bug that showed up in some presets
  • Fixed a bug when too many gradients were displayed
  • Increased the maximum number of allowed gradient presets
  • Fixed a bug causing the first frame of particle exports to be black
  • Added symmetrical mode to range sliders (ctrl+drag)
